Happy scaling
You want to practice scales more, I want to practice scales more, we all scream for practicing scales more.
However, it can be tricky to stick to.
In desperation, I have searched through many pages for advice on how to practice scales.
I boiled down all that advice in to the following tips.
How to practice scales:
- 10 to 15 minutes a day is plenty.
- Follow a beat. Start slow and increase.
- Keep repeating the bits you mess up.
- Really aim for accuracy.
- But still, have fun. Use a drone, backing tracks, different rhythms, intonation. Whatever works.
